Amy Handy

Amy Handy

Amy Handy, a Washington transplant, is the creative force behind Robot Mom Creations. Growing up on the east coast, never far from the ocean, Amy developed a deep connection to water, which influences her art to this day. Her work, characterized by vibrant colors and dynamic textures, reflects her sensory-seeking nature, especially in her ocean-inspired pieces. As a neurodiverse woman and mother of five, Amy finds solace and therapy in her creative process.

Amy specializes in preservation and memorial art, using traditional and non-traditional materials to capture fleeting moments in time. Amy teaches classes and workshops at several studios across the Puget Sound. With a mission to make art more accessible to everyone, Amy regularly partners with local businesses and nonprofits like the KCLS to provide free art experiences to the communities she serves.
