Recapping Camp Craftaway 2022
When: Friday, August 12 to Sunday, August 14, 2022
Where: Alki Beach Bathhouse on the shores of West Seattle
Want to try ALL the crafts? At Camp Craftaway, that’s exactly what we did! Attendees chose from 11 different workshops over the three days.
Workshops included knitting pet bow ties; natural face masks; wood burning; watercolor florals; indigo dyeing; felt flower crowns; reverse appliqué; making forest friends; macrame keychains; needle-felted octopuses, and earring design.
Geared towards beginners but totally fun for all skill levels, each attendee left the two-hour workshop with a new craft to take home and valuable skills. Melissa and Sara, Camp Craftaway co-hosts, were so impressed by all of the amazing things created.
There was an ice cream social—complete with a sundae bar—and a craft supplies exchange where attendees could bring their gently used supplies and find new goodies to take home.
We can’t wait until 2023!
