Himmeli are traditional Finnish geometric mobiles, historically made from straw or reeds. They can be large or small, simple or intricate, and can be used to decorate in so many ways. Himmeli can be made in a variety of materials and colors and lend themselves well as a decoration for all kinds of celebrations, or for everyday!

In our workshop, we’ll work with paper straws in many colors and patterns, as well as wooden beads and yarn tassels to create our own take on the traditional himmeli. You will leave the workshop with your own little collection of these beautiful decorations to brighten your home.
