Irene Rex
Irene Rex is a Seattle-based Taiwanese American artist and designer. Her artwork reflects happy memories boldly expressed in bright watercolor layered with loose, sketch-like drawings.
She regularly teaches watercolor painting workshops at Make Apothecary in Bothell. Irene is also the creative behind local home goods small biz Chroma Rex, and works as a materials and process engineer helping other local entrepreneurs make and test their own products.

Learn watercolor painting techniques for adding textures, shadows, and highlights by playing with abstract forms. From there, you’ll draw little details to finish off your illustrations as a fun imaginary or real critters of your choice!
