Valerie Moreno

Valerie Moreno

Valerie Moreno teaches crochet and knitting. She believes that the best way to acquire new knowledge is through hands-on experience. Her role in the classroom is to create the conditions for students to learn.

As an internationally published designer, her debut pattern, Valley Vista, can be found in Knitty, the first free and online fiber art magazine. Currently, she is part of the team organizing Yarncentrick, an annual pop-up fiber festival in Maryland.

Valerie is formally trained as an instructor and holds a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising from Old Dominion University. When she’s not engrossed in a work in progress (WIP), she enjoys living in New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment.

Workshop

Saturday, August 3 at 9:30 AM

This workshop is a craft mashup; a little jewelry making, beading sprinkled in and some crochet. Make a special sparkly bracelet with shiny cotton thread and glass beads. During the workshop you’ll learn how to use a bead threader and a crochet hook to combine and manipulate the materials to make a bracelet.
